Carrots can be eaten raw, in a meal or a dessert recipe.

Carrots should be stored in a refrigerator in a closed bag, or in a crisper drawer with the humidity vents closed to retain their moisture.  Carrots will store in a refrigerator for 2 weeks, or 10 days washed and cut.

Carrots should not be stored in a refrigerator drawer with ethylene producing fruit or vegetables such as pears, apples, peaches, cantaloupe, melon and mushrooms. This will cause them to become bitter tasting.

Onions can be stored uncovered in a dry cool place for up to 2 months, they can also be stored at room temp for about 3 weeks.  Once cut an onion should be tightly covered and stored in a refrigerator and used within 3 days.

Most of our onions grown are yellow onions which are used manily for cooking.  We do grow some red onions for select markets.

Chicken must be cooked before consuming to an internal temperature of 160 degrees fahrenheit.  It can be cooked from fresh or frozen by cooking for 10-15 minutes per pound for fresh, and by increasing the time to 25-30 mins per pound for frozen.

Fresh whole birds can be stored in the refrigerator at 4-5 degrees Celsius for 1-2 days or in the freezer for 1 year, while cut up chicken can be stored for 9 months in the freezer at 0 degrees celsius.
